There are 3 types of subscriptions that a customer may have. Each has a different capability for enrollment in FLEET:
- Free Subscription (WIFI ONLY)
- This is a no-charge subscription available only to consumers directly through Mobile Link
- These subscriptions will be overwritten automatically when the generator is added to FLEET.
- FLEET will allow the enrollment indicating that an existing Mobile Link Account is in place. Please see the article here for more information.
- Active Subscription (WIFI or LTE)
- This is a Paid Subscription available only to consumers directly through Mobile Link
- These subscriptions can now be overwritten by FLEET enrollment
- The customer's subscription will transfer over to FLEET and be displayed as a "roll over"
- FLEET will allow the enrollment indicating that an existing Mobile Link Account is in place. Please see the article here for more information.
- The existing Active Subscription end date (when customers' Mobile Link direct subscription expires) will be populated as the end date for the subscription in FLEET. No FLEET Subscription will be consumed once you have finalized enrollment
- Dealer Managed Subscription
- This is a subscription type only available to consumers through a Service Dealer offering FLEET monitoring.
- These subscriptions cannot be overwritten by new FLEET enrollment by a new/different dealer
- To remove the customer from another dealer FLEET we will need either consent from that other/original dealer or directly from the end user
- FLEET will prevent enrollment indicating that an existing Subscription is in place.
- The existing Dealer Managed Subscription will need to be canceled by the Customer before the generator can be added to FLEET. They will need to indicate a desire to change service dealers for this to happen.
