Staying up to date with events that occur on your customer's generators requires more than a great dashboard. Being notified of important events on a generator is key to taking action as quickly as possible in response to a generator event. Fleet provides, comprehensive notification options available to allow dealers to be informed via Email or Text messages. Adding flexibility, options exist to manage generators at a global account level, as well as alternative options to receive notifications on individual generators.
In this article the following processes are described:
To add and configure new notifications recipients at an account level:
- Begin from the Generator Status dashboard.
- Select the
icon located at the top of the screen.
- The Manage Notification Recipients screen appears.
- Click Create New.
- A new blank recipient record will be added
- Entered the new recipient information and select the types of notification categories desired.
Notification Category Options consist of:

- Global Recipient - A Recipient that should be added as a notification recipient to all newly enrolled generators.
- Enrollment Email - A recipient that should receive the Dealer Notifications on all new enrollment approval requests.
- Daily Summary - A recipient should receive a summary of the FLEET dashboard every morning (4:00 am CST delivery)

- Once the desired notification recipient information has been provided, click Save.
- The new recipient is added. Click the Setup Default Notifications button.
- The Manage Default Notifications modal appears
- Define the default notification settings that should be used for this recipient.
Default Notification options consist of:

- Select All - Selects all notification types for all notification methods
- Maintenance Reminders (Email/SMS) - Notifications relates to Maintenance Events triggered by the generator
- Faults (Email/SMS) - Notifications relating to events that will prevent the generator from running.
- Warnings (Email/SMS) - Notifications relating to events that will NOT prevent a generator from running
- Run Events (Email/SMS) - Notifications of events that relate to a generator running (Run events exclude Exercise Events.)
- Apply to all Generators - An option to apply the Recipient and their Notification settings to all existing generators in FLEET.
Note: Failing to select Apply to all Generators will prevent the recipient from receiving notifications on any existing generator in FLEET. The recipient will only be assigned to new enrollments.
Note: Email and SMS notifications can only be configured when a correlating Email Address or Phone number is provided for the recipient.

- Once the desired Default Notifications settings have been specified, click Save.
- The Manage Notification Recipients screen appears
- A new Notification Recipient has been successfully added and configured.
To remove the recipient of a notification at an account level:
- Begin from the Generator Status dashboard.
- Select the
icon located at the top of the screen.
- The Manage Notification Recipients screen appears.
- Locate the notification recipient that is to be removed and Click the
icon.
- A confirmation modal Appears, click Yes I'm Sure.
- The Manage Notification Recipients screen appears
- A notification recipient has been successfully removed.
Note: Recipients that are removed at an account level will be removed from all existing generators and will no longer be added to new enrollments.
To add and configure new notifications recipients at the generator level:
- Begin from the Generator Status dashboard.
- Locate the generator for which the generator value information is required.
- Click the Details button located n the right side of the screen.
- The Generator Details page appears
- Scroll down to the generator information tabs section and select the Notifications tab.
- The Notification Tab appears
- Click Add Recipient.
- The Add Notification Recipients modal appears.
- Locate the Recipient to be added, and click Add.
Note: If required, Search options are available in order to locate the desired recipient
Note, New recipients can be added by clicking Create New, for this process see here. - The new recipient has been added to the gen successfully!
Note: Notification options can be configured from this screen, however, they are notification settings for this generator only.
To remove notifications recipients at the generator level:
- Begin from the Generator Status dashboard.
- Locate the generator for which the generator value information is required.
- Click the Details button located n the right side of the screen.
- The Generator Details page appears
- Scroll down to the generator information tabs section and select the Notifications tab.
- The Notification Tab appears
- Locate the Notification recipient that is to be removed and click the
icon
- A confirmation modal appears, click Yes I'm Sure.
- The Notification Recipient has been removed!
