There is a log in behavior that specifically occurs when attempting to access FLEET using Internet Explorer. The behavior experienced is that of FLEET attempting to sign in, a spinning icon is visible for just a moment, then the user is immediately logged back out again.
Example:
This behavior is caused by the default security settings that are defined in Internet Explorer 11 (and potentially other version of Internet Explorer.) These settings can be corrected by following the steps provided below.
To update the security settings in Internet Explorer 11:
- Open Internet Explorer 11
- Click the
symbol in the top right corner of the window, then choose Internet Options
- Select the Security tab
- Choose Internet
- Set the Security Level to Medium-high, then check the Enable Protected Mode
checkbox
Note: it may be necessary to click the Default level button first, in order to choose the Medium-high security level - Choose Local intranet
- Set the Security Level to Medium, then check the Enable Protected Mode
checkbox
Note: it may be necessary to click the Default level button first, in order to choose the Medium security level - Choose Trusted Sites
- Set the Security Level to Medium, then check the Enable Protected Mode
checkbox
Note: it may be necessary to click the Default level button first, in order to choose the Medium security level - Click Apply, then OK
- Close and then reopen Internet Explorer 11
You should now be able to successfully sign in to FLEET in Internet Explorer 11
