Propane Tank Fuel Monitoring - Integration with Tank Utility
We are pleased to announce that Fleet dealers will now have the ability to use Fleet to monitor LP fuel tanks that are connected with a Tank Utility 4G LTE Propane Tank Fuel Level Monitor.
The Tank Level Monitors can be enrolled in Fleet currently through one of the following two paths:
- At the conclusion of Fleet enrollment of an LP fueled generator.
- Through the generator details page of an LP fueled generator.
Fleet users will need to provide the serial number of the Tank Level Monitor:
The Device ID will be validated to ensure the following:
- Device ID is valid. Must be a Tank Utility 4G LTE Propane Tank Fuel Level Monitor purchased through Generac.
- Device ID must not be enrolled in Fleet already.
- Device ID must not be enrolled to an existing Mobile Link account. (This functionality will be provided in a future release.)
Upon successful validation of the Monitor device ID, the user will be required to provide information about the tank that is being monitored:
Note: All fields are required. Users must select at least one type of Tank Usage.
Click CONTINUE to submit your enrollment request.
An Enrollment Confirmation will be presented to the user:
The back arrow can be used to make corrections to the information provided; click SUBMIT to complete the enrollment.
NOTE: For a limited time, the first year of Fleet monitoring with a Tank Utility Tank Level Monitor will be FREE. A Fleet monitoring subscription will automatically be created during the enrollment process.
At the conclusion of the enrollment, the Account Holder will have access to Tank Fuel Monitoring through a Dealer Managed Tank Monitoring subscription, as well.
The Tank Level Monitor will communicate the following tank information: Fuel Level, Battery Level and Connection state for the monitor.
This information will be displayed on the Generator details page for the generator the tank is enrolled with:
Fleet users can access the Tank Details page using the “View Tank Details Page” button:
Propane Tank monitoring subscriptions will also be included on the Subscriptions page in Fleet:
NOTE: A future Fleet release will provide functionality to edit Tank Details as well as Subscription Management for Tank Monitoring and Notification configuration. Stay tuned!
