How Does A Customer Request Service?
Customers become leads when they fill out a service request form on generac.com. This is done by going to the Generac website homepage, hovering over 'Homeowners', and selecting 'Request Service For Home Standby Generators'. The form will request the customer's serial number and require them to click 'get started'. Once they proceed, it will then have them fill out basic information about themselves and the nature of their inquiry
How to Opt-In:
1. You will want to log into the fleet
2. Begin from the Generator Status dashboard.
3. Click on your dealer number in the top right hand corner then click on account settings.
4. It should now bring you to the option to opt in. Click on the blue opt-in button.
5. Once you have clicked on that you should receive a pop-up. Click on the desired individual within your dealership that you would like to be the contact person for the opportunities. Then click next to proceed with notifications.
6. Select text, email, or both for these notifications then click next.
7. This will now proceed to the terms and conditions of the program. Please click on "view terms and conditions". Once you have read those, you can click the check box that you agree then click submit.
How Do I Pause or Opt-out:
Steps 1-3 will be identical in how you get to the location for service opportunities to opt in. Depending on if you are pausing or opting out will depend on which one you click on.
When should I pause?
You should pause when you are currently inundated with inquiries, storms, or other dealership-related issues. But do intend to restart these leads again in the future when things are back to normal. This does not hurt your acceptance rate when you pause for the time being.
When Should I Opt Out?
You should opt out if you have no intent to proceed forward any longer. This does not hinder you from re-opting in at a later time.
1. Click on the desired option (pause or opt-out)
Note: If pause was selected, enter the date you wish to resume participation with the program then click pause
