How Do I Set Up Notifications in Fleet?

Staying up to date with events that occur on your customer's generators requires more than a great dashboard.  Being notified of important events on a generator is key to taking action as quickly as possible in response to a generator event.  Fleet provides, comprehensive notification options available to allow Service Providers to be informed via Email or Text messages.  Adding flexibility, options exist to manage generators at a global account level, as well as alternative options to receive notifications on individual generators. These notification options are solely for those within the organization. If the customer is looking for alerts, please direct them here. This article can be sent to your customer to help them set up customer-based alerts. 

In this article, the following processes are described:

  • Adding and Configuring notification recipients at an account level.
  • Removing notification recipients at an account level.
  • Adding and Configuring notification recipients at a generator level.
  • Removing notification recipients at a generator level.

To add and configure new notification recipients at an account level:

1. Begin from the Generator Status dashboard.
   
   
   
    
2. Click on your account number in the top right corner. It will present a drop-down menu, then select notification settings.
   
   
   
    
3. The Manage Notification Recipients screen appears.
   
   
4. Click Create New. 
5. A new blank recipient record will be added
   
   
   
    
6. Entered the new recipient information and select the types of notification categories desired.
   Notification Category Options consist of:

         • Global Recipient - A Recipient that should be added as a notification recipient to all newly enrolled generators.
         • Enrollment Email - A recipient that should receive Dealer Notifications on all new enrollment approval requests.
         • Daily Summary - A recipient should receive a summary of the FLEET dashboard every morning (4:00 am CST delivery)
         • Service Opportunities- these come as an opportunity arises and is assigned to your FLEET.
7. The Manage Notification Recipients screen appears
8. A new Notification Recipient has been successfully added and configured.

Note: The option for Run events does NOT include customer exercise notifications, only manual runs or running due to utility loss. 

To remove the recipient of a notification at an account level:

1. Begin from the Generator Status dashboard.
   
   
   
    
2. Click on your account number in the top right corner. It will present a drop-down menu, then select notification settings.
   
   
   
    
3. The Manage Notification Recipients screen appears.
4. Locate the notification recipient that is to be removed and Click the icon.
5. A confirmation modal Appears, click Yes I'm Sure. 
6. The Manage Notification Recipients screen appears
7. A notification recipient has been successfully removed.
   
   Note: Recipients that are removed at an account level will be removed from all existing generators and will no longer be added to new enrollments.
