How Controller Types Influence Fleet Capabilities:
When using Fleet, it’s important to understand that available features and capabilities may vary depending on the controller type connected to the system. Not all controllers support the same level of functionality. The software is designed to adapt to the capabilities of the connected hardware.
Remote Alarm Clearing – Controller Considerations:
The Clear Alarm feature is available within the software platform when the controller supports that capability; however, the ability to successfully clear an alarm remotely depends on the controller installed on the unit. While the software may allow a remote clear attempt, the controller ultimately determines whether that command is accepted. Some alarms are intentionally designed to require on-site acknowledgement and cannot be cleared remotely on certain controller types. This behavior is expected and aligned with controller design and safety requirements.
Command Options that appear based on controller:
Nexus and Evolution 1 (air cooled and liquid cooled):
Will only have a get status command
Evolution 2.0 (Sync 3.0), Powerzone 410 and 200:
Exercise now
Exercise with transfer (Powerzone)
Clear fault
Reset maintenance
Get status
Alarms breakdown:
Alarms that CAN be cleared remotely (Controller Dependent):
- Underspeed
- Undervoltage
- Overvoltage
- Overcrank
- No Crank
- Overload
- Battery Voltage Very Low
- CANbus Error
Alarms That May Require On-Site Reset (Controller Dependent):
- Missing Configuration
- Controller fault
- Overspeed
- Keypad Missing
- Wiring Error
- Overload
- Estop Pressed
- Auxiliary Shutdown
- ECU Faulted
- Engine Throttle Valve 1 Position 1
- Engine Fuel Delivery Pressure
- Engine Oil Pressure
- Engine Intake Manifold #1 Pressure
- Battery Potential / Power Input 1
- Engine Position Sensor
- Engine Timing Sensor
- O2 Sensor
- Engine Ignition Coil #1 & #2
- Engine Fuel Valve 1 Position
- Engine Speed
- Cylinder Head Temperature 1
- Engine Fuel Shutoff 2 Control
We recognize that the current interface does not always indicate in advance whether a specific alarm is eligible for remote clearing. Enhancements are in progress to improve visibility and awareness within the platform. Additional details will be shared as updates become available.
