Generac is pushing firmware update v14901 starting 7/15/26 to “Next Gen” air-cooled standby generators. Guardian series models are not affected by this firmware update.
Some affected units may show a 2670 CANBus alarm during the update. If it appears, this is expected and will clear on its own within 24 hours.
You can clear it sooner: If a generator in your Fleet is impacted, use the Clear Alarm feature in Fleet to resolve it remotely rather than waiting for it to self resolve.
If the alarm does not clear after remote intervention, follow the guidance in the diagnostic manual.
